Vrindavan attracts many visitors and pilgrims annually being a place of rich Indian culture and heritage. A special cleaning project has been set-up to help preserve historic sites and clear rubbish from various places including around the schools and areas where the bulk of the school children live – something the local government are quite neglectful of. As part of this project, locals are also educated on environmental issues to raise awareness and to help keep Vrindavan green and clean.
